Zea Braised Cabbage
Ingredients
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter
- 1 large Yellow Onion, Julienne
- 1 T Chopped Garlic
- 1 ½ T Creole Seasoning, (Your favorite brand)
- 2 pounds Green Cabbage- 1 inch X 1 inch chopped
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot, set on high.
- Add the onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes or until the onions have softened.
- Add the seasoning and mix well.
- Add cabbage and mix well ensuring even distribution.
- NOTE: Break up any large pieces or clumps of cabbage. Discard cores.
- Once cabbage is thoroughly mixed, add water and salt and stir.
- Continue to cook on high heat for 10 minutes stirring every 2 -3 minutes until cabbage haes decreased in volume and you see liquid bubbling at the surface.
