It’s Seafood Season at Zea
Special menu encourages fans to show off their #fishface
New Orleans, LA (Feb. 11, 2016) – The end of Mardi Gras season marks the beginning of a limited-time menu jam-packed with seafood favorites at Zea. Starting Wednesday, February 10, the polished casual local eatery is offering a special menu highlighting this season’s best seafood dishes.
Zea’s highly anticipated Asian Sesame Oysters, fried crisp and laced with a sweet soy ginger sauce and an Asian chili glaze, are back for the season. Like each seafood item gracing the menu, these signature Gulf coast oysters are delivered fresh and are the cream of the local crop.
“The Seafood Menu is our favorite way to celebrate the variety of fresh seafood we have surrounding our region, “said Nancy Jeansonne, Director of Marketing for Taste Buds Management. “We love the assortment of fresh options that will satisfy every craving, whether you’re a lover of freshwater, shellfish or more of an oyster fan.”
Guests may mix and match several fresh seafood offerings and sample the best of the season. Gulf coast oysters make another menu appearance with the Oyster & Artichoke Soup, packed with artichoke hearts and poached oysters. Shrimp and Mirliton Ceviche brings an unexpected twist to this coastal favorite, made with poached Gulf shrimp, grilled mirliton, tomato, jalapeño, red onion, avocado, cilantro, olive oil, lime and grapefruit juices.
This limited-time menu complements the regular Zea menu, which offers more than 20 additional seafood dishes available year-round. Highlights include the Tuna Sashimi Stack (diced, yellow fin tuna, avocado, cucumber and wasabi aioli) and Trout Lafitte (grilled trout fillet, Gulf Shrimp sautéed or fried in a spicy cream sauce), available for those craving fresh, local fish. Also on tap is the Southern staple Shrimp & Grits (shrimp, Andouille and étouffée sauce), served atop Zea’s ever-popular roasted corn grits.
Items on the seafood menu start at only $6.50, so even those looking for an inexpensive bite and a quality meal can find their fix. Guests are encouraged to snap photos and show off their #fishface via social media – while sharing the fun with Zea’s Facebook page as well. The menu is available through Sunday, May 1 at all Zea locations. The Seafood Season menu varies by location; check your favorite Zea restaurant for specific offerings.
