Portion of proceeds from special menu items will benefit grieving children
Lafayette, LA (July 1, 2016) – Healing House believes that no child should ever have to grieve alone and Zea Rotisserie & Grill agrees. This month, the polished casual restaurant is supporting the nonprofit through its signature Pork of July event with a special menu offered all month long. A portion of proceeds from Pork of July menu items will be donated to Healing House, a local nonprofit agency providing support for bereaved children ages 4-17. Guests who dine at Zea will also have the chance to win a $250 gift card to the restaurant when they drop their registration slip in the piggy bank.
“Pork of July allows our guests to both enjoy some exclusive dishes and support local children in need,” said Greg Reggio, creator and co-owner of Zea. “We look forward to giving back to kids, their caregivers and the Acadiana community by doing what we do best.”
Limited time dishes include Pork Quesadillas, made with smoked pulled pork, shredded cheddar cheese, and house-made chipotle mayo, layered between flour tortillas and served with house-made guacamole. Also up for grabs are the BBQ Potato Chips, thick house-cut sea salted potato chips, drizzled with a white queso, topped with a pecan smoked, pulled pork and a charred jalapeño honey BBQ sauce and pickled red onion.
To compliment these limited time menu items and as a part of Lafayette’s Absolut Best Martini contest, Zea will be serving a special Purple Rain Martini with proceeds also benefitting Healing House. Guests can vote for Zea’s new martini on August 16 and are encouraged toss their loose change and dollar bills into a special Absolut Bottle that will be on display during the Pork of July promotion.
