Mizado Cocina is Living La Vida Langosta

New Orleans, LA (April 2016) – Mizado Cocina, the modern, Latin-inspired restaurant located just off I-10 on Metairie Road, is ringing in warmer weather with lobster galore. A special Living La Vida Langosta menu will highlight Maine lobster and several other fresh, savory ingredients – for a limited time.
With a convenient location mere minutes from City Park, fans of New Orleans’ famed festival season can wind down from (OR perk up for) a jam-packed day with dishes priced at just $16 – or choose two dishes for $30. Whether a fan of sauces and creamy dishes or a lighter fare devotee, the Living La Vida Langosta menu offers something for everybody. Mizado fans will find heaping helpings of Maine lobster as well as salads and other health conscious options.
Limited Time Menu Includes:
- Lobster & Crawfish Tamale: Maine lobster and fresh Louisiana crawfish, onion and sweet pepper, ancho chile cream, manchego, arugula
- Lobster Tostada: Crispy coconut lobster, over a cilantro and pickled relish slaw with pineapple salsa and the signature salsa de Mizado on a crispy corn tortilla
- Lobster & Crawfish Enchilada Stack: Maine lobster and Louisiana crawfish layered between fresh corn tortillas with a garlic tomato butter and creamy ancho sauce, cilantro onion relish, grape tomatoes, edamame, black beans and manchego cheese
- Shrimp & Lobster Salad: Chilled Maine lobster and Gulf shrimp, arugula, romaine, ponzu apples, cotija, manchego, cilantro, sliced tomatillos, pepitas, tortilla straws, tomatoes, onion, and pisco pomegranate vinaigrette
Several menu favorites also make an appearance, including: Crispy Coconut Lobster Tacos, bite-sized lobster marinated in coconut milk, fried with a fresh coconut batter and topped with a house made pineapple salsa; Lobster Queso Fundido, Maine lobster, cotija, quesillo and manchego cheeses, crisp tortilla strips; and Skinny Lobster Tacos, poached chilled Maine lobster, shredded phyllo, salsa de aguacate y serrano crema, cilantro, jalapeño and tobiko on crisp romaine “shells.”
Mizado’s special lobster menu kicks off on Sunday, April 10, as French Quarter Festival wraps up, and will be available until Sunday, April 24. Nestled in between will be a Patio Beach Party, where diners may enjoy games like corn hole, giant Jenga and a special Jazz Fest ticket giveaway.
