New Orleans, LA (June 8, 2015) – Zea Rotisserie & Grill announced today its plans to close the 1525 St. Charles Avenue location. The official last day of operation will be on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 11AM to 10PM. The St. Charles location has been in business for 10 years, opening on August 1, 2005 and reopening on December 7, 2005 after Hurricane Katrina.
According to Paul Hutson, vice president of operations for Taste Buds Management, operator of Zea Rotisserie & Grill, “While our intention is to stay in New Orleans, we were unable to come to a long-term lease arrangement at St. Charles. We appreciate all of the relationships we have developed within the community over the past 10 years, and we want to thank our patrons and staff for their continued support.”
He adds, “It is our desire to have a restaurant operating in Orleans Parish, so we are actively searching for an alternative location and hope to have an exciting announcement about a new Zea soon. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing our guests at other Zea locations throughout the Greater New Orleans area.”
Taste Buds Management has successfully relocated every employee in good standing to another Zea Rotisserie & Grill location. Employees of Zea who are not transferring to another location will be paid severance and owed benefits.

Zea Rotisserie & Grill invites guests to dine at its St. Charles location now through the last day of operation on Father’s Day – June 21, 2015. The location will still offer guests its annual Father’s Day special, a free 4-pack of handcrafted beer for all dads who dine. Other Zea Rotisserie & Grill locations include Metairie; Harahan; Covington; Harvey; Kenner; Slidell; Lafayette; Baton Rouge; and Mobile, Alabama.
