Viva La Lunch! – Mizado Introduces New Lunch Menu

New Orleans, LA – Mizado Cocina — a loose, engaging environment with a delicious, fresh take on inspired Latin cuisine and handcrafted cocktails — has introduced a new lunch menu highlighting special tortas (sandwiches), ensaladas (salads) and tacos every day from 11AM – 4PM.

According to Nancy Jeansonne, director of marketing for Mizado Cocina, “We are confident that guests will love our new lunch menu offering delicious cuisine and affordable prices. Our central location between downtown and Metairie makes Mizado Cocina the ideal place to meet for a business lunch or a casual get together with friends.”

Lunch at Mizado Cocina starts at only $8.00 and features taco favorites including: Carne, slow cooked beer-braised grass-fed natural beef with a side of salsa de Mizado; Pescada Plancha, market fresh seared Gulf fish with Chilaca citrus butter and salsa tomatillo; and Carnitas, Michoacan style Duroc all-natural pork, braised with orange, cinnamon, garlic and topped with salsa de tomatillo.

New to the menu are the tortas (sandwiches), which include the Cubano, Mizado’s take on the classic Cuban sandwich, built with slow roasted shredded carnita, sliced pork belly, manchego and mozzarella cheeses on telera bread, dressed with pickled vegetables and Mizado hot sauce; Pescado, made with fresh grilled Gulf fish, manchego cheese, jalapeno avocado mayo, spice slaw and pineapple salsa and Pollo, complete with marinated grilled all-natural chicken, melted mozzarella, black bean puree, jalapeno avocado mayo, cilantro cabbage slaw and criolla fresca.

In addition to Mizado’s taco and torta offerings, the lunch menu highlights new salads including the Camarón (shrimp), fresh Gulf shrimp, spring mix, cilantro, onion, radish, ponzu apples, cotija, sliced tomatillo, manchego cheese, pepitas and tortilla straws; and Pollo (chicken), spiced grilled all-natural chicken, spring mix, cucumber, marinated red onion, bell pepper, carrots, crispy garbanzo beans and manchego cheese.
